I just came across this story two days ago, and I'm still stunned.

After being raped at school by a fellow student, a Texas high school girl did the appropriate thing, and reported the incident.

The high school's response?

First, she was told to "work it out with the boy."

Then, when she pressed the matter further, the school responded by expelling the girl for ... public lewdness.

And that's not all.

The school then transferred the girl to a special school designated for students with discipline problems - together with the boy she had told them had assaulted her.

Leaving aside, for the moment, that the school apparently failed to follow the federal rules that schools must follow, pursuant to Title IX, when a student reports a sexual assault, the school's response to this student's report is nothing short of appalling and outrageous.
