Although no incidents of injuries have been reported, earlier today the Consumer Products Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Spalding's Chinese-made in-ground basketball hoops because the bolts that anchor the hoop into the grounds were apparently defective and prone to breakage, and thus posing a safety hazard to consumers.

For additional information on this defective product recall, please visit their website at www.spalding.com.
