It's not every day that you can get your fast food recall information at Comedy Central. Yet on February 20, that is precisely what they addressed (in rather amusing fashion), as a trifecta of well-known and established American food products were recalled, albeit for widely different reasons.

In my view, the oddest - and most interesting - was Subway's decision to recall its sandwiches because the bread contained a chemical that was also used in exercise mats.

Seriously? Why would anyone even think that including such a chemical would be a good idea in both things?

Kraft decided to recall its American cheese singles because they wanted to include a more robust mold retardant. (Eew).

Lastly - and despite being the most dangerous of the three, it was also the most "normal" of the 3 recalls - Hot Pockets were recalled due to containing contaminated beef.
